8 Step Aquarium Care Sheet

8 Steps To A Great Aquarium:

  1. When you first get your new aquarium and assemble it, you should thoroughly wash and rinse it out. This is to ensure that you clean every last bit of it so there are no dirty contaminants remaining that can potentially damage your fish and cause them harm. A methodical aquarium care makes your fish care simpler and easier.
  2. Place it in an area that will be safe from other animals as well as people that could knock it over. You don't want it in a room where it is too dark, or a room where it is too sunny. Make sure you pick out a perfect spot and make sure it will fit!
  3. After you have cleaned it and put it in an area that you want it to be in, place in the gravel and other items such as plants and decorations. Make sure that you don't overcrowd the tank and that there will be plenty of room for the fish to swim around, and make sure you clean all the pebbles and items that are going in the tank also.
  4. Install the pump/filter and make sure it is in properly and securely. Don't turn it on just yet.
  5. Get a plate or a bowl to pour the water over so that it won't disturb all the items you have placed in your tank and move them around. Pour the water in slowly and ensure that all the items you have placed in the tank are in their right positions. If they move, then fix them up as you go along. Ensure the tank doesn't leak and make sure you condition the water.
  6. Place the lid on the tank (if it has one) and turn on your filter to make sure it works. Make sure the water is at a good temperature and that everything is working.
  7. Test the water and wait for the results!
  8. It's time to put the fish in! Pet care is equally important. If you are unable to perform pet care job, you can seek the help of a pet sitter. Fishes or other water animals are quite entertaining pets, especially when they thrive in a comfortable aquarium. Place the fish in the water still in their bag from the pet shop so they can get accustomed to the tank. After an hour or so you can cut a hole in the bag and let them swim out into the tank itself. Watch them and make sure they like their environment and give them some food to help them settle in. You now have your new fish in their new home!
